We hold the belief that initiating collaboration with architects and homeowners during the initial design phase leads to the most seamless construction process and ultimately, the finest end result for our clients.

When the builder is present during the initial design phase the homeowner is able to  arrive at a clear budget early on. This also gives the architect confidence in the builder's ability to implement the vision down to the last detail. The collaborative spirit that we bring to every project helps to establish functional relationships between the builder, architect and homeowner. During construction we readily make ourselves available to our clients, architects and designers to ensure every detail is properly implemented. Clear and consistent communication ensures a smooth and organized construction process. This is our priority.

Step 1 - Consultation
Contact us via phone or email to set up your free on-site (or off-site) consultation. Our first meeting is about getting to know one another and understanding the project’s scope and potential budget.

Step 2 - Design Phase
Once the architect is selected, in preparation for the design phase it is important for the client to prepare a wish list outlining the key elements to be included in the final design. With these parameters in mind the architect will create a program designed to highlight these components. We come together regularly as a team to witness how the architect brings the program to life. We use these moments to give the architect feedback that will shape the final outcome.

Step 3 - Construction Cost Estimating
When creating an estimate, it is best practice to have the architectural and engineering plans completed in order to be precise. Preliminary cost estimating is done in the early phase of design development and is derived from the architect's initial drawings.  In this phase we take into account architectural drawings, structural drawings and the interior designer's vision to itemize every aspect of the project in a comprehensive spreadsheet in preparation for executing a construction contract agreement.

Step 4 - Contract
The goal is to arrive at an agreed upon scope of work and budget for the project according to the construction documents. At this point we will draft a formal client-builder contract for your review. All the time spent planning lays the perfect foundation for success as we break ground on building your sanctuary.
